No fear of Chicago's extreme summer temps when you can repose like Margaret at the city's most popular hot spots - Lurie Garden in Millennium Park -  in a designer dress by Lela Rose. This piece retailed at $450 but was found at an envious $180 at Neiman Marcus.  Above, Margaret sits along the hardwood footbridge over the shallow water which divides the garden diagonally.  Below, Margaret reflects among summer perennials in this 5 acre space designed by Gustafson Guthrie Nichol Ltd, Piet Oudolf and Robert Israel.

Standing against a pillar of the 92-story Trump International Hotel and Tower designed by Adrian Smith formerly of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) with the reflection of a Prius in the window, could Ross be thinking, "Why can't you have it all?" Comfortably fitting a powder blue shirt around $60 from United Colors of Benetton and $80 Lucky jeans, Ross shows well-dressed doesn't have to mean well-heeled.

Reflective is the word as Ross contemplates his next move in a sanctuary of light within this second- story grand hall of the Chicago Cultural Center designed by Boston architectural firm Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge completed in 1897. The hall is faced with deep green Vermont marble, broken by a series of arches for windows and mahogany doors. The rotunda features 30-foot walls of Knoxville pink marble, mosaic floor, and a fine, yellow-toned stained-glass dome in Renaissance pattern by the firm of Healy and Millet. Standing his ground amidst such grandeur, Ross showcases pants from United Colors of Benetton $60, a stylish jacket compliments of Banana Republic $90 and shoes from Aldo $80. Below, Ross' attention is drawn upwards just outside the overhang of the distinctive red awning of  the 46-story International Style-inspired Michigan Plaza South designed by Fujikawa Johnson & Associates.
