Chicago Architecture Today
Chicago Architecture Today is
an LLC publication serving the architectural interests and
concerns of the Chicagoland
region and beyond. We are comprised of professionals, former
professionals, freelancers, students and talented
individuals committed to voicing our communities concerns,
opinions, achievements and activities as pertaining to
Chicagoland's built environment through the promotion
of this website and civic involvements. Chicago Architecture
Today was conceived in 2005 by individuals with a passion
for Chicago area architecture and the desire to grow a
related website as an ongoing expression of that passion.
Seizing upon the opportunity to fill what we saw as a void
uncharacteristic of a world class architectural Mecca in
possessing a site worthy of its reputation, we set out to
establish a comprehensive and engaging format for discovery,
discourse, and direction for this city's architectural
community. Our primary objective is to become a
trusted resource for the professional, academic, tourist
populations and local residents who have a vested interest
in our city's built environment. To achieve this, we are
committed to providing quality and useful information,
insightful commentary and targeted investments in our local
communities through sponsorships, scholarships,
competitions, internships, and employment opportunities.
Our desire is that as Chicago continues to evolve going
forward in its place as an incubator of design innovation
and excellence well into the 21st century, Chicago
Architecture Today will maintain that level of innovation
and excellence in its pursuit of providing relevant and
timely reporting and commentary on our built environment.
